here's a short cat story;
last sunday night, my neighbor presented me with a cute baby kitten. I don't know what gender it was, so I'm gonna refer to it as 'it'. It was small and black and white and had green eyes and it was the most adorable thing I ever saw. The moment we set it down on the floor, it hid behind the radiator, and stayed there for a good half hour. Then, I carefully went to give it food, and when it came out, I started crying, because I had a really shitty day, and the kitten just brightened up my mood. since it refused to leave the kitchen, we made a bed for it there, and we set out bowl of water and a plate of the food it didn't eat next to the bed, and let it stay there for the night. It was mewing for a few minutes after we left, and I don't know anything about cats, but I felt like it was because it was separated from its' mother and siblings and put into a new home, and instantly felt bad. Eventually, it left the kitchen and decided to sleep on the staircase, which scared me in the middle of the night when I went to go to the bathroom.
the next morning, no doubt I woke up to the sound of it mewing. It was now under the couch in the living, and it basically stayed there for the rest of the day, while I was at school. when I came back, my mom told me the cat only came out to eat. For a few minutes though, while I was watching TV, it did come out from under the couch to stretch and walk around, but immediatly went back underneath the couch after a thunderstorm started. I felt bad that it was separated from its' family when it was only a few days old, so I decided to give it back to my neighbor. So, my mom and I spent a while trying to catch the kitten, and when we did, I went to my neighbor and told her how bad I felt about taking it away, and she agreed to take it back. Unfortunatly, the mother was a stray cat, and now she's gone, and my neighbor's mom already gave away my kitten's two siblings to two different people. But no fear, she gave my kitten to this other neighbor, who adopted my kitten's orange sibling.
and today, I was staring out my parents' bedroom window and saw in the neighbor's yard the two kittens playing happily with each other, and I was crying tears of joy. It's nice to know that I'll still be able to see my first cat whenever I want, sort of. and that's the story c: omg this was too long.
anyways, yesterday I skipped latin class to go to lunch with my friend, and she skipped spanish to go to lunch with me. we acted like the biggest weirdos ever, and didn't get caught by the dean. A lot of people were skipping and the teachers personally didn't want to be at school after testing was over, and therefore didn't care. HOWEVER, it was awkward when my latin teacher saw me...he just grinned at me and then walked away. The perks of being an perfect student in latin :D
